What does Seasign Inc. do with personal data linked to their mobile application.

What personal data does SeaSign collect?

To improve the user experience, SeaSign uses Unity’s analytics API, which internally collects device information, like IP address and device identifier, as well as events completed or actions taken within the game, including level, number of credits, the time it took you to earn them, metadata about in-game communications and the value and details of purchases.

Collection of user’s personal data :

  • To improve the user experience, Seasign uses the Unity Analytics API, which internally collects information about devices, such as the IP address, device identifier, and completed events. Additionally, it stores actions taken in the game, including level, number of credits, time it took to earn them, metadata about in-game communications, and the value and details of purchases.

    Information we obtain from the user device includes:

    Device attributes: information such as the operating system, hardware and software versions, platform, screen size, and CPU/graphics characteristics.

    Usage data: information about how you use the application. For example, day of first session, day of last session, and session length.

    Location data: specifically, the country.

    In-app purchase data: if you perform financial transactions (such as when you make a purchase in a game), we collect information about the purchase. This includes purchase amounts and number of purchases.

     

    Unity uses the above types of data to allow game developers and publishers to tune their games for player devices and create personalized gaming experiences.

     

    Custom event game data these are specific in-game events that some games collect and are contextual to the game. For example, level start, enemy count, and player health are all examples of custom event data.

    Identifiers and network: device IDs and IP address. Note, that for security purposes, we do not expose this information.

     

    NOTE: Users can always opt-out of data collection and delete all their historical data from the app Settings > Data Privacy Page

     

    Under the CCPA, individuals have the ability to exercise a variety of privacy rights, including:

Seasign Inc. undertakes to respect these principles:

– To carry out impact assessments on privacy in order to protect the privacy and rights of its customers and employees

 

– Protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information it collects, stores, transfers and processes in accordance with Canada’s federal laws on the protection of privacy and international good practices, and to meet its legal requirements and its contractual obligations

 

-Explain why they need personal information, ask only for the personal information they need and only share personal information within Seasign Inc. and with other organizations only when necessary or when the data subject has given his consent

 

– Allow people to request access to the personal information they hold about them and to complain if they think their information has been mishandled

This general policy statement was approved by Mr. André Taschereau, Director General, in May 2020 and must be revised in May 2021.

Contact forms

We retain contact form submissions for a specified period of time for customer service issues, we will not use them for commercial purposes.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This automatically recognizes and approves the following comments instead of leaving them in the moderation queue.
